Redwood National Park
Many consider San Francisco to be “Northern California”, but there is a lot of California left to the North… That is, until you get to Redwood National (and State) Parks, which lies nearly to the Oregon Border. Stretching for approximately 60 miles (North to South), the Redwood National and State Parks encompass many different sights and hikes.
These trees are massive and live for millennia, with the oldest in the parks being well over 2,000 years old. While there are scenic drives to take, the best way to experience these trees is on foot.
The coastal region of (actual) Northern California is gorgeous year round, with temperatures only having about 20°F of variance throughout the year. If you find yourself with the ability to make the 6-7 hour drive North of San Francisco, we highly recommend it. Send us a message to build Redwood National Park into your next trip!
